Margaret Boyd, "Magz" has over 8 years of experience with hands on bodywork.  She believes in the body's innate knowledge and ability to heal itself.  Magz loves sharing her knowledge of movement and massage in both individual sessions as well as group classes. Her healing journey began in 1999 when she fell in love with the Nia Technique, danced out of depression, healed structurally, and changed her life. She began teaching the Nia Technique in 2001, continued her Nia training and study, and is a Black Belt Nia Instructor. This personal transformation led her to pursue massage school in 2007 at the Oregon School of Massage, with a special interest in Shiatsu massage.

In 2011 Magz began studying with Sue Hitzman, the creator of the MELT Method and she has completed the MELT Method instructor training. Magz is a licensed MELT Method instructor and teaches MELT Method classes and workshops, as well as private MELT sessions.

In 2016 she bagan training for a certificate in Restorative Exercise with Katie Bowman through her Nutritious Movement program and Magz is a now a certified Restorative Exercise Specialist.  She has a passion for helping people regain their body's natural movements and learn to move with less pain and restriction.

Magz loves to work with anyone who lives or aspires to live an active life, including dancers, runners, swimmers cyclists and you! She welcomes you to "transform tension into vitality" with her bodywork and classes.

"I believe the body has a wealth of knowledge, and has the ability to heal itself. When we tap into that wisdom, either individually or with the guidance of another we can increase our awareness, and connect to our life force. As we go through life and events or circumstances bring us down we lose that connection. Through movement and healing touch, the body can be realigned, life force can be felt and recharged. In this way we can feel transformed."
